Opening Day 2014 is tomorrow Saturday March 8th! It should be a memorable day with the morning festivities and the first games of the season! We’re excited to get the season going and we hope you are too! It’s time to play some baseball!!!
Please plan to arrive at the field by 8:30 am. The team signs will be against the fence to the left of the tennis courts on your way into the Major Field. Drop off players with their coach and proceed directly to the Major field to find a good viewing area. At 9:00 am the Parade of Teams will begin with players parading onto the major field with their team banners. They will then sit with their team on the field for the ceremony.
After the ceremony make sure to stop by the snack bar to grab some lunch before the games begin! Back by popular demand…THE MEAT HOUSE burgers will be on the grill to kick off our season. Meals will be $5 and include drinks and chips. Our newly designed snack bar will be fully stocked with ICEES ready to go!
The first Major game of the season kicks off at 12:00 pm. The Major A’s managed by Mark Ingram will be taking on the Major Angels managed by Dan Jones. We’re expecting a great game! The Major Tigers managed by Joe Corkhill have an away game against CMNLL Alabama at their field.
The game times for this weekend were updated last week. You can find a complete schedule of this Saturday’s games at this link: Sat 3/8 Game Schedule. Teams will be playing at the same time this weekend that they were scheduled to play last Saturday prior to the rain out. By the way… if you’re available tomorrow morning we could use a few extra hands for set up at 7:30am. We are looking forward to another amazing season and we hope you are too!
